Professional Development

The responsibility of the Professional Development Committee is to address matters pertaining to professional ethics and standards, and to provide professional development, training, and advancement activities and opportunities which contribute to the competency, status, and image of Association members. The Professional Development Committee is expected to work closely with other committees that have as a purpose the provision of training and development activities for the membership. The Committee shall consist of at least one representative from each of the Association Chapters and the Chair of the Association’s Annual Conference Committee.

In 2023, EOA will be hosting monthly professional development sessions. Some will be free and a few will cost based on association membership. The events will be focused on engagements with students as well as developing professionals. Check out the Events area for specific information.

The EOA Professional Development program activities benefit you, as an EOA member, by providing timely, relevant, and engaging learning and informational opportunities to help you grow as a professional and better meet the needs of your students.   While programming is usually planned well in advance, the committee welcomes your requests and suggestions and will work with you to develop additional programming to meet the ongoing needs of EOA’s TRIO Professionals.
